Rate Increase 2026

We are approaching the final year of the City of Topeka's approved three year rate increase voted on in 2023 for water and wastewater.  11.8% in 2024, 11.8% for 2025, and now 11.5% in 2026.  As we purchase all of our water from the City, our rates must reflect these increases.  Starting Jan 1, 2026, water used will be at the new rate of $13.75 per 1,000 gallons.  The monthly minimum of $23.00 will remain unchanged as it has for the last 15 years. Increasing the water rate versus the monthly minimum ensures that we protect the average water user. This way, a majority of our customers will see less of an increase compared to a minimum increase to achieve the same result.
